Working...
My name is Tricia Haynes. I graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in Spanish. I worked as a substitute teacher and interpreted for several years before returning to school to earn my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. I taught English Composition at I.V.C.C. for four years and I continue to teach several STEM courses and camps at I.V.C.C. I came back to the elementary level as a paraprofessional here at Lostant in 2016.
This year, I am teaching Science for 7th & 8th grade, Math for 3rd & 4th grade, Language Arts for 3rd & 4th, Reading for 3rd & 4th, Writing for 3rd & 4th, Social Studies for 5th grade, and I will monitor the 3rd through 5th grade study hall. I am also the Student Council Sponsor. I also am the homeroom teacher for 5th grade.
My husband Tom and I live on a small farm in Tonica with our son Cole, and our 5 nieces and nephews, Bryan, Claire, Justice, Ty, and Madison and our Chocolate Labs Mossy, Acorn, Mudd, and Peanut. We enjoy a variety of farm animals. In my spare time, I raise honeybees and I am the leader of the Tonica Bailey Creek Kids 4H club.
