Covid Quarantine Days
Lostant Families,
The Covid quarantine days have changed as of Friday, January 7, 2022.
Close Contacts:
Close contacts need to quarantine for 5 days (not 10 days). Day 1 of the quarantine starts the day after the day of the exposure (exposure day is considered Day 0). If your child DOES NOT have any symptoms on Day 5, your child can return to school on Day 6. In addition, your child does not have to test to return. If your child DOES HAVE Covid symptoms on Day 5, please keep your child at home and contact your physician.
(For example, if your child was sent home on Tuesday, your child can return to school on Monday. Tuesday is Day 0. Sunday is Day 5).
Covid positive cases:
Isolate for at least 5 days. The Covid screening/test results document needs to be submitted to Lostant School by fax or email. A “Return to School” document needs to be submitted to Lostant School before your child can return. The “Return to School” letter can be obtained from the LaSalle County Health Dept., IDPH, or your family physician.
